Bonnie Anne
Treece
Creating paintings and
photographs has been an important part of ie’s life,
for over 26 years; in the state she calls "My Colorado".
She was loaned a Nikon camera in 1977 by her father to
study photography at the University of Denver, and has
been looking through the "rose colored" lens ever since.
In the last three decades, like many of us, she has
watched our sleepy little towns grow into busy cities.
Close up flower images are her attempt to reconnect with
the life Source. They reopen the channel blocked by
endless freeways and oceans of development, and take
Bonnie back to a time when her grandmother would give
her tours of her garden on Sunday afternoon.
Years of experience on
the computer as a CAD designer inspired a new direction
to her photography. As a painter she grew frustrated
with limiting paint hues, and desired the true spectrum
colors, especially magenta and cyan. Digital technology
allows for developing the flowers a step further. The
modifications, colors, and textures are intended to
express the "nature" of Nature while maintaining the
soft quality of paint and a brush.
Connection to nature's
work is inspired by spiritual studies which include many
different beliefs, customs, and rituals. Bonnie
considers herself a "Warrioress of the Rainbow"
representing all Traditions, colors and Paths joining as
one. The goal for the FLOWER THUNDER collection is to
promote inner light, peace, joy, and a renewed
connection to our Source. "May we rise above what is
holding us back, and unwrap the present of the life we
are given."
With Gratitude,
Bonnie Treece
